Heidelberg, March 7, 2026 – Digitalization dictates our everyday lives and creates new IT applications and career fields in almost every industry. To ensure that girls and young women can actively shape this diverse world of IT, the "Girls' Digital Camps" transfer program brings exciting digital topics directly into practice.

Funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg, the program is specifically aimed at female students in grades 6 to 10. The primary goal of the camps is to provide the girls with concrete insights into digital professions and to sustainably strengthen their self-confidence in using modern technology through practical experience.

"We teach basic programming skills and provide initial insights into app development so that the participants not only understand how digital applications work, but can creatively implement their own ideas."

From app development to robot shows

The offerings of the Girls' Digital Camps are intended to show the participants how versatile, creative, and socially relevant digital applications are. The current course program ranges from courses like "Digital Communication" to creative modules like "Snap – Art through Coding" and exciting robot activities like the "Dash Talent Show".

To ensure high accessibility, the courses take place both online and in person. Many of these hands-on classroom events are held by our cooperation partner didaktik-aktuell e.V. directly in the premises of the Future Lab STEM (Zukunftslabor MINT).
